Flegg Projects – Stronger than ever after Vanguard merger

One year ago, we became part of the Ainscough Industrial Services Group, an exciting step forward for us that builds on our 50-year legacy, enhancing the services we provide and further cementing our commitment to excellence.

AIS Group supports end-to-end industrial relocation and installation using their wholly owned lifting equipment and is the largest privately owned UK business.

We joined four other companies under the AIS Group umbrella: AIS Vanguard, AIS Wind Energy, AIS Eurelo, and VIG Industrial Relocation.

A shared vision for the future

By becoming part of the AIS Group, we have gained access to greater expertise, resources, and a shared vision for the future, whilst still operating under the Flegg name. This means we have been able to continue delivering the same high standards of service you’ve come to expect, with even greater capabilities, including:

A larger network of engineers and equipment across the UK
Growth from 58 to 300 team members
Expansion from two depots to 15

At the day-to-day level, we have been pleased to welcome AIS Vanguard’s Southeast branch to our Aylesbury depot.

Stuart Rex, who has joined Flegg Projects from Vanguard’s Southeast branch as Contract Manager shares his thoughts on the success of the merger, “The Flegg staff we have had on our jobs come with all the knowledge we could ever ask for. Expanded service offering

Building on our specialised machinery moving and logistics expertise in the medical sector, the merger has enabled us to expand our service offering, meaning we are more fully able to deliver a turnkey service including CDM project management, contract lifts and crane hire, overseas operations.

In addition, we can also benefit from being more readily able to get resources for larger jobs when needed.

This was proven recently during a recent project for a cocoa manufacturer in the Southeast, where we called upon Vanguard to provide additional resources to ensure that vessels could be moved smoothly and efficiently, using a 21T Valla, and a forklift to top and tail.
